THE STAPS COURSE
From now on after licence 2, the STAPS course offers different specialisations, aimed at Management, Sports training, Adapted Physical Activities, Education and Motility…or even an interdisciplinary training which enables to sit for the entrance exam to be a professor.
The course
Is the same as the other university courses.
The first two years of STAPS (Licence 1 & 2) ends with a (formerly) Deug equivalent. These first two years will give you an equivalent at the level of the common core of the Brevet d’Etat level 1 (State Diploma), and a Diploma will be given to you which is an intermediate to the DEUG.
The third year of STAPS is logically named Licence 3.
The fourth and fifth years of STAPS are called MASTER. The course can be extended by a doctorate, only after the MASTER 2, which adds 3 years of study to your training which already has 5.

For the subject matter, the STAPS department offers the following training program:
*Licence 1 and 2
*Licence 3 honours degree in Motility Education
*Licence 3 honours degree in Sports Training
*Master 1 Biological Response to Training
*Master 2 Biological Response to Training
*More than 120 temporary teachers
